One of the biggest steps in dealing with alcoholism is detox . It is often a process that’s feared because we hear so much about the negative symptoms. Detox, or detoxification is almost exactly what it sounds like. Any mood-altering substance such as alcohol is essentially a poison, therefore toxic.
