Mirror Lake Recovery Center provides life-changing treatment services to men and women, aged 18 and above, who have been struggling with substance abuse and chemical dependency, and who also may be experiencing a co-occurring mental health disorder. When an individual enters treatment at Mirror Lake, he or she will work in close collaboration with a team of experienced and compassionate mental health professionals, including an addictionologist, master’s level therapists, case managers, registered nurses, clinical technicians, and other providers as needed.Depending upon each client’s unique needs, treatment at Mirror Lake Recovery Center may be provided at the detox, residential, or partial hospitalization (PHP) levels. At all levels, each client works with the members of his or her treatment team to identify the client’s needs, set treatment goals, and develop a comprehensive personalized treatment plan. The client’s treatment objectives will be individualized, realistic, measurable, time specific, and appropriate to the level of treatment. The treatment plan will identify the services and support that will allow the client to overcome the obstacles that have been preventing him or her from achieving to his or her greatest potential.With a variety of treatment modalities and a wide range of therapeutic activities and opportunities, Mirror Lake Recovery Center is uniquely prepared to empower men and women to confidently and successfully walk the path of long-term recovery.
Situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Village Behavioral Health offers an ideal setting for adolescents to begin facing their difficulties free from distractions. Our programs's goal is to help teenagers make better choices by helping them understand how poor choices have affected them in the past. Village Behavioral Health provides a safe, secure, and serene setting to allow treatment to truly begin.Family involvement is essential to make a lasting change. For the adolescent to get the full benefit of our program, we believe the family must be active participants in the treatment process. Family Therapy occurs on a regular basis and is a critical part of our program, ensuring long-term success of the youth.Village Behavioral Health’s Alcohol & Drug Program follows the 12-step model. Each adolescent begins their treatment within the 12-step model and engages in on-campus groups. Adolescents are also introduced to a relapse prevention program and guided in gaining control over their substance abuse and addiction.

Get Real Recovery offers individualized addiction treatment in a safe and serene environment. We offer a full continuum of care including: detox, residential- inpatient, and four levels of outpatient services. Our approach is to assess underlying causes and triggers that drive an individual to develop the self-sabotaging behaviors associated with addiction. Each client’s individualized treatment plan includes: individual therapy, small support groups, cognitive behavioral therapy (coping skills), holistic healing (mind, body, spirit), 12-Step principles and relapse prevention. We provide optional stress reduction techniques such as: yoga, mindfulness meditation, massage therapy, acupuncture, Reiki, beach walks, organic gardening and assisting our personal professional in-house chef. Using Drugsduring Pregnancy
Drugs can even spoil the development of a baby, and can cause critical situations during pregnancy. Some of the drugs can cause nutritional deficiencies, fetal growth retardation and anemia. The use of drugs while pregnant can also increase the chance of developing toxemia or pre-eclampsia. Marijuana use during pregnancy can cause attention deficit, memory problems and impaired decision making skills. These problems usually don’t appear until age 3.
Pregnancy and Drug Use
The use of amphetamines is associated with an increase in cardiovascular defects in babies. Barbiturate use during pregnancy may be linked to birth defects, withdrawals, poor feeding, and seizures. Opiods are associated with abnormalities and complications during pregnancy. There is a high risk for premature labor, intrauterine growth retardation and pre-eclampsia, in women who use opiods while pregnant.
Cocaine use by the mother-to-be can increase the risk of miscarriage. Babies born to mothers who used cocaine during pregnancy can have lower IQ scores and mental deficiencies. Sudden infant death syndrome is more common in babies born to mothers who used cocaine. The use of PCP during pregnancy is believed to cause abnormal development in babies. It can cause the mother to have mental illness and loose contact with reality.
