It involves detox, in a closed environment, from which the patient can not emerge until the process is complete. The success rate that happens within this portion of the drug program treatment tends to be very high.

Every step getting the individual to this point is crucial and essential, but the problems which occur tend to happen outside of closed residential treatment programs.
