The BasicsSunspire Health Spring Hill is a licensed residential treatment facility that provides a personal approach to care for men and women suffering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our highly trained team of physicians, nurses, therapists and residential staff are addiction specialists who will get to know each patient in order to develop an individualized recovery plan. All treatment plans follow an evidence-based, comprehensive model of treatment that heals whole patients as well as their family systems to set them up for a successful life in recovery.Treatment and StaffIn addition to its residential/inpatient program, Sunspire Health Spring Hill offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Each patient receives individualized treatment based on his or her specific needs for recovery. Patients have many different varieties of therapy available during treatment, including individual therapy, CBT, psycho-education, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and adventure therapy. Alternative therapies such as yoga, meditation, and music therapy are also offered. The facility has a high staff-to-patient ratio, ensuring that each patient receives the personalized care he or she deserves.
Today, Serenity Knolls is a residential treatment center that provides comprehensive services to adult men and women, ages 18 and above, whose lives have been impacted by substance abuse, chemical dependency, and certain co-occurring conditions. We are prepared to provide care to men and women whose struggles include, but are not limited to, dependence upon the following addictive substances: alcohol, cannabis, stimulants, sedatives, benzodiazepines, hallucinogens, methamphetamine, PCP, and opioids including heroin, morphine, and prescription medications.We also welcome men and women whose primary diagnosis of a substance use disorder is accompanied by co-occurring anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, and temporary psychosis that is directly related to substance abuse. However, we cannot accept individuals who are struggling with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), pain disorders, and psychotic disorders that are not the direct result of substance abuse.

Alanon Information
If you’re not familiar with a program called “Alanon” and you are living with someone suffering from an addiction to alcohol, then this article may be important for you to read. Alanon is a non-profit international organization that utilizes a 12 step program similar to the one made famous by AA. This is a program created specifically for adults who are dealing with a family member or spouse who is battling alcoholism . This program got its start in 1951 by a woman named Lois Wilson. Her husband was the co-creator of Alcoholics Anonymous, Bill Wilson.
The reading material is different than what you’d receive in AA. The program was created for people living with people in the AA program. The program offers peace of mind and stress relieving tactics for people who are living with alcoholics. Being an alcoholic and going through treatment can be a difficult journey, but so can being the spouse of someone getting treatment. Often, the sober family members are disregarded, when in fact they are going through a battle of their own.

If your loved one is in AA , then consider taking part in the Alanon program. You’re going to learn about what your loved one is going through, and you’ll gain a better understanding of their needs. Couples who participate in the Alcoholics Anonymous and Alanon programs together end up with a stronger relationship.
